Throughout its history, the center has dedicated itself to addressing the needs of individuals and families within the community, focusing especially on those who may face barriers to educational and personal advancement.
Dysart Community Center offers a range of structured developmental programs designed to support learning and growth. These initiatives are carefully crafted to create stronger prospects for success in school, the workplace, and life in general. Teen Leadership Program

At Dysart Community Center, our Teen Empowerment Program
equips young people with the practical life skills, mentorship,
and community connections they need to thrive.

Summer Camp Program
Our nine-week Summer Camp Program is designed to support underprivileged youths by providing them with meaningful opportunities to prevent summer learning loss. Throughout the program, children engage in educational activities that help maintain and build upon their academic skills during the summer break.

English as a second language (ESL)
For more than sixty years, we have been dedicated to assisting students in learning to speak, read, and write English. Our approach features one-on-one instruction in a supportive classroom environment. This individualized attention ensures that each person, especially those for whom English is not their first language, receives the guidance they need to succeed. By fostering these essential language skills, we empower students to thrive in the United States and become active participants in their communities.

GED Program
The General Educational Development (GED) program offers adults and out-of-school youth an opportunity to earn a high school equivalency credential. GED classes are designed to help students master the knowledge and skills needed to pass the GED test, which covers five main subject areas: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, Civics and Social Studies.

High School Diploma Program
The High School Diploma program sponsored by The Alexandria Academy, provides individuals of all ages with the opportunity to earn missing credits necessary for graduation. This pathway allows students to achieve an internationally accredited high school diploma, opening doors for future academic and professional pursuits..

Citizenship Program
The citizenship classes are designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the rights, responsibilities, and privileges associated with citizenship. Through a series of interactive lessons, participants will explore key topics such as civic duties, the legal framework governing citizenship, and the historical context of national identity.
